President Obama Sends a Message to Nigerians In Regards to The Presidential Elections Ahead

In a video just posted on Youtube by US Embassy Nigeria, US president Barack Obama sent a message to Nigerians asking them to stand up against violence and express their views peacefully during the upcoming election. Transcribed version of what he said in the video below...

Hello. Today, I want to speak directly to you; the people of Nigeria. Nigeria is a great nation and you can be proud of the progress you’ve made. Together, you won your independence, emerged from military rule, and strengthened democratic institutions. APC the Chameleon, They Keep Changing Names.. They will Soon Start Bearing Ebola - Patience Jonathan

Speaking at the PDP women rally in Onitsha, Anambra state yesterday 23rd March, 2015, The First Lady "Patience Jonathan" said APC will be buried on March 28th. 

According to Mrs Jonathan, the defection of Rivers state Deputy Governor, Tele Ikuru from APC to PDP is an indication that the opposition party is dead.

“Imagine the deputy of a whole director-general of the APC presidential campaign decamping, does that not show that the party is dead? The party is dead and buried and March 28 is its burial. The party will not live again. When you start answering old drugs, expired drugs, then you know that your death is coming closer. The way things are going, APC will soon bear Ebola. 

VIDEO: Emenike Had a Taste Of Been "Twitted-at" By his Own Fans, Moved Out of The Field in Anger

Emmanuel Emenike walked out on a match in Turkey over the weekend after racist chants by his own club (Fenerbache) fans were directed at him. He was obviously hurt during Sunday, March 22nd's match against Besiktas after his home fans began to pass twit at him. He removed his shirt and angrily moved towards the bench in either anger i suppose.

His coaches  however pleaded with him to return back to the pitch which he did. Emenike has been lazy in front of goal this season, netting just four times in 22 appearances, He was booed by his club fan before coach Ismail Kartal finally decided to withdraw him.

After the match, a furious Eminike insinuated that he was tired of life in the Thurkish club and wants to go somewhere else where he will be loved.

LASU Announces Compulsory Break For Staff and Students Ahead of Saturday's Election,

Below is a press statement from the management of Lagos state University announcing a compulsory break for all staff and students starting from today March 23rd.

In view of the forth-approaching national and state elections scheduled for March 28th and April 11th respectively, the university management of Lagos State University has declared a pause of academic activities for both staff and students with effect from Monday 23rd March, 2015. Students and staff are therefore advised to vacate the campus immediately. The date of resumption will be announced in further date, so those concerned should stay glued to the news on the media. This is the annoucement as passed by the management of the school and was likewise signed.

The resilient Flying Eagles seek a seventh African Youth Championship title in Dakar and of-course have no regret, because they have done Nigeria and the whole of Africa proud by winning the Championship.

HORROR: 25-Year Old Man Beheads VIO Officer In Ekiti State

A man by the name Wale Ede was yesterday arrested over an alleged crime of beheading a 50-year-old Vechicle Inspector Officer (VIO), Joshua Fagbola.


Fagbola, a patrol assistant with the Directorate of Road Traffic Service, otherwise known as the Vehicle Inspection Officer, in Ado Ekiti is a father of seven, meeting his untimely death at the wake of a relative on Friday at about 8pm in the Iro quarters of Iyin Ekiti State.

It was learnt that Ede attacked Fagbola when he was about to start the engine of his motorbike and leave the venue of the aftermath.

Gift Wahab (The suspect)

Moments ofsadness struck in the Ajegunle, Apapa area of Lagos State, after a 20-year-old woman, Gift Wahab, stabbed her lover, Ebi Amade, 28, to death. The incident occurred at the couple’s residence on Fasasi Street, Ajegunle, Apapa, on Thursday, March 19.

After several interrogation, it was discovered that the Gift who hailed from Uromi, Edo State, had been living with Ebi since 2013, after she dropped out of secondary school. Ebi hailed from Bayelsa State. The two reportedly had a kid in 2014, who passed away in December after a brief sickness.

It was further learnt that the couple had gone on an outing on Thursday when an argument came-up in the afternoon over feeding money.

An instagram user who shared this montage of pictures displayed above, which is said to have happened in Daura, the hometown of Buhari in Katsina. Apparently, Jonathan went there to campaign for re-election and the people there hilariously began to wash their village roads after he left... I'm still laughing...

Pope Francis Eats Lunch with Gay, Transgender and HIV-positive Inmates at Italian Prison

While on a visit to Naples, Italy, Pope Francis visited the Giuseppe Salvia Detention Center in Poggiorale, outside of Naples. And even though it was not on his original schedule, insisted on the visit including lunch with inmates.

Pope Francis in the demostration of love yesterday Saturday enjoyed lunch with inmates of an Italian prison and along the line, gay and transgender inmates were invited to join.

Brymo Defends Having a Child Out of Wedlock - ''A Child is a Product of Love, not Marriage''

Nigerian act, Olawale Ashimi famously known as "Brymo" has explained why he plans to have a child out of wedlock. According to the singer, marriage has been polluted and he believes that a child is solely a product of love and not a marriage anyway, hence his having a child out of wedlock. He also spoke about his babymama and how they actually planned the pregnancy despite not been married.

NEW EBOLA CASE IN LIBERIA: Woman dies After 20 days Of National WHO Quarantine

Liberia had hoped to be declared Ebola-free in April, but not with this relapsed case of the deadly desease again.

Liberia has just confirmed a new case of Ebola, undermining growing hopes in the country that it might soon be declared free of the disease. The World Heath Organization requires 42 days to elapse from the last known case before a country can be declared free of the virus.

There had not been a new case for 20 days now not until a woman tested positive on thursday in the capital, Monrovia. She passed away on friday weakening Liberia disease-free hopes.  

Record has it that over 4,000 people have died in Liberia from the disease.

Boko Haram Leaves Mass of Throat-slit Corpses near Nigerian Town of Damasak

Soldiers from Niger and Chad who liberated the Nigerian town of Damasak from Boko Haram militants have discovered the bodies of at least 70 people, many with their throats slit, scattered under a bridge.

According to Reuters, in what appeared to be an execution site for the Islamist group, the bodies were scattered beneath the concrete bridge on one of the main roads leading out of the town. At least one was beheaded. The bodies were partially dried up by the desert air, while grass has began to grow around the corpses, suggesting that the killings had taken place a while ago.

Rap Top-Star Knight Collapses in Court after Judge Sets $25m Bail in Murder Case

Death Row Records co-founder Marion "Suge" Knight fainted in a Los Angeles courtroom today after hearing a judge set his bail at $25 million over a "murder" plus "hit-and-run case".

This marked the second medical emergency the 49-year-old former CEO has suffered during his legal proceedings in a little more than a month. Several deputies rushed to his aid after he collapsed in his seat after which  he was later taken to a hospital for sure check-up.

Boko Haram Stronghold "The Butcher" Escapes

A Boko Haram commander has escaped arrest in Kaduna State, Pulse reports. The suspect, identified as Muhammed Mai "The Butcher" managed to get away after a raid on his supposed hideout in the Ugwan Dosa area of the state.

He was said to have changed location to Kaduna after anti-terrorist operations chased him out of Borno State, he is a Boko Haram stronghold.

PHOTO: Thugs Threatens Lawyers And Hinder Them For Marching For Buhari In Ondo State

Hoodlums suspected to be hirelings of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday attacked and disrupted a gathering of lawyers meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, to support Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

The lawyers, who are members of “Lawyers for Change,” were organizing a campaign rally for Mr. Buhari at the time of the attack. A lawyer, Titiloye Charles, told SaharaReporters that the thugs were armed with guns and machetes, and threatened to kill the lawyers if they carried out any rally in the state.

Petroleum Minister, Alison-Madueke's Younger Brother Kidnapped

As record will have it, one of Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Alison-Madueke's siblings was first kidnaped and now this. That was about 5months ago that her sister "Osiyo Agama" was kidnaped, it seem so many wants their share of this petroleum thing o.

This time, the younger brother of Minister by the name "Joseph Agama" has also been kidnapped. He was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Bayelsa state. Confirming his kidnap, the spokesperson to the Bayelsa state Police command, Asinim Butswat said the incident happened at about 12.30am today.

The kidnappers rode in a speedboat and stormed Yenaka Community, a coastal settlement in Yenagoa LGA at about 12.30am and forcefully abducted Mr Agama. The family is yet to hear from the kidnappers.

Suspected Suicide bomber Nearly Lynched, But Rather Arrested in Kano

Wow.. its a man this time!! A young man suspected to be a suicide bomber was saved from being lynched. The police saved him from an angry mob after they descended on him following his refusal to be screened at the entrance of the Unguwar Uku motorpark in Kano state.

Confirming the incident, the Kano state police spokesperson, Magaji Musa Majiya said the man was mobbed after he attempted to run from the scene. See how it all happened below after the cut:

Singer Blasts Kanye West over Indecent Exposure of Wife, Kim Kardashian

Kanye West has always been cool with having his wife exposing her nakedness on the media all over, making all sort of immoral poses for the whole world to see. Recently he even tweeted 7 photos of her nude body using captions like ''Swish, I'm so lucky'' to celebrate her and especially for her reaching 30 million followers on Twitter. And that's because according to Kanye, his wife's body is revolutionary, so he encourages it be more exposed in the name of art.

Well, R&B crooner Tank thinks it's totally wrong and came for Kanye during a recent interview. The singer was a guest on the ‘Have a Seat Talk Show’ and during the show’s ‘Golden Chair’ segment, where celebrity guests are basically allowed to call out other celebs they feel should “have a seat,” Tank told the show's hosts that he is reaching out to Kanye... for allowing indecent exposure of wife Kim. Tank said:

PHOTO: Police Arrest Abia Director Accused of Raping 10 year old Housemaid to Death

The Director of Administration representing the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the Board of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Mr. Christian Onuoha, has been arrested by the police for the mysterious death of his 10-year-old housemaid.

The victim, Anurika Ngwakwe, was allegedly found unconscious in Onuoha’s car in his house at World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, on Tuesday, before she was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro on Thursday, the father of the victim , Mr. Chinenye Ngwakwe, a 
security man with the state’s Ministry of Finance, said he wanted justice for the death of his daughter. The 49-year-old said the wife of the accused, "Precious" who is also a member of staff of the Ministry of Finance, had been mounting so mouch pressure on him to find a housemaid for the family.

The actions of Buhari supporters in the video below is highly condemning. That was exactly how the post election violence of 2011 that killed over 800 people including 11 Youth Corp members started. 

Thank goodness the FCT NYSC state coordinator has cancelled all CDS meetings and asked all Corp members to stop wearing the Khaki uniforms till after elections.
