ASUP to Commence Indefinite Nationwide Strike over HND/BSC Superiority


The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike on Wednesday 25th February, if government fails to meet their demands. President of the Union, Mr Chibuzor Asomugha told journalists during a press briefing in Abuja that government has not implemented any of their demands since the suspension of the last strike they embarked upon by the Union in July last year. 

ASUP is aggrieved over the dichotomy that exists in the way Polytechnic and University graduates are treated in the labour market; polytechnic products being a victim of discrimination and poor attention.

Boko Haram Members Drown in Lake Chad as They Try to Flee Nigeria


A large number of terrorists have drowned in the Lake Chad as they fled the heavy battle attack by Nigerian Air force indicating the advance of Nigerian troops on mission to flush them out of Baga, the Nigerian defence headquarters has said.

In a statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said; “Not even the strategy of mining over 1500 spots with land mines on the routes leading to the town could save the terrorists from the aggressive move of advancing troops''

Nigeria's Gollden Eaglets Now Qualifies For The World Cup After Beating Zambia 3:1

FAIR JUSTICE: Man jailed 15 years for raping 7-yr-old girl


Adamu Abdullahi(42 yrears) has been sentenced to 15years in prison with hard labour over the rape of one 7year old girl.

This addictted rapist from Bauchi was made to face justice at the state high court, Bauchi. According to the state Director of Public Prosecutions, Dauda Yakubu, the accused forced the girl who is a neighbour's child, into his room where he brutally raped her and in the process, seriously injured her.
