Some call this act an incredible one, a road with no finish or end "like is this really possible?" while other take him for a fool "like who send am?". The guy in red walking so majestically goes by the name Hasheem Sulema is out on a quest to do the unthinkable - walk with an amazing distance of about 747km, from Lagos to Abuja in honour of Gen Buhari.

Hasheem had said he will do the over 8 hours journey by car on foot if Gen Buhari won the 2015 presidential election. Reality unfolds as Gen Buhari now becomes the president-elect and Hasheem is pushed within him to started his journey. Hasheem who has now become a 'celebrity' via his act, was spotted in Kutigi, a town in Niger state yesterday and 'fans' flocked around him to take photos. They continue after the cut.

Famous Rap Star, Nelly Arrested For Possession of Hard Drugs


The famous and international hip-hop artist "Nelly"has been been arrested by a Tennessee state trooper on felony drug charges in Putnam County on Saturday morning.

Nelly, who is with the real name "Cornell Haynes", was charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug gear. The investigating trooper planned to conduct an inspection on the bus when he noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

My Threat Of Killing People During The Elections Was To Infuse Fear In Them- Joseph Mbu


Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, in person of Joseph Mbu, has said the threat he issued to kill 10 people for every policeman killed has greatly and positively iflurnced the conduct of the Lagos State election towards a peaceful one. Mbu says as a police officer he is prohibited to go about killing citizens, but only made that statement to infuse fear in them and it really worked. Here is what he told journalists shortly after the elections;

“Generally, people are becoming more and more mature, sensitive and reasonable. And anyway, the statement I made, which generated a lot of (controversy); people misconstrued it all over, but that also helped the police because people say, ‘this man has come o and whatever he says, he means it’, and that also instilled fear in them.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters clashed earlier this morning in Kano.  As the fight was on going, some of them rushed to where the ballot papers were placed and set them on fire, which automatically ended elections in that very unit. This happened precisely at the "Karan Mata" ward in Madobi Local Government. We will keep you posted with more details as we get them

‘I Won’t Appoint PDP Defectors into My Cabinet'' – Buhari


Amidst growing fearful anticipation over the strong wind of defections to the All Progressives Congress, (APC) by notable members of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) the President-elect, Maj. Gen Muhammadu Buhari, has said the party has nothing to fear over the mass defection into the party.

Buhari said during an interactive moment with journalists in his Daura home residence on Saturday, he said:

“I have no fears of PDP defectors.” 
According to him, the PDP chieftains would have very little influence in the APC government, adding that the PDP bigwigs will be wise enough not to jostle for positions in the new government.

INEC Declares Ibikunle Amosun Winner Of Ogun Governorship Election


The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) has declared the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State who also doubles as the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun as the winner of yesterday, 11th of April, 2015 Governorship election in the State.

Amosun who has the largest number of votes defeated Gboyega Isiaka of PDP and other Governorship aspirants. Amosun had a total of 306,988 votes, while Gboyega Isiaka had, 201,440 votes, SDP’s Akin Odunsi came 3rd with 25,826.

For those who care, it will also interest you that APC won flawlessly at former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s ward.
