Recall the OPC Saga at Ikorodu?... APC Set To Drag President Jonathan To International Criminal Court


The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organization (APCPCO) has made it known that it will send a petition against President Goodluck Jonathan to the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague.

The APCPCO said in a statement on Wednesday and signed by Mallam Garba Shehu, Director of Media and Publicity that the petition follows the massive terror unleashed on the residents of Lagos by armed pro-Jonathan groups under the dubious cover of a faction of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) on the pretext of demanding the sack of Professor Attahiru Jega, National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Nigerian Military, during their counter attack against Insurgents in Bama, were not only faced with the challenges of littered land mines by the insurgents, they were rather faced with the issue of fighter snakes deployed to poison them too.

President Jonathan Fires FIRS Boss... Alhaji Kabiru Mashi


The Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Alhaji Kabiru Mashi had just being sacked and replaced by one Mr. Samuel Ogungbesan who happens to be the Coordinating Director at the FIRS. Kabiru Mashi had before now served as acting Executive Chairman of the agency since 2012.

And has ordered by the presidency, Ogungbesan's appointment takes effect immediately... see a photo of him after the cut:

PHOTOs: Young Man Shot Dead By Suspected Cultists in UNILAG Last Night


A young man had been shot at the University of Lagos Amphitheatre. this operation is suspected to have been carried out by some cult members last night at about 10pm.

The young man's identity is still yet to be disclosed as further investigations are in progress by the police authorities. Details will be prompted as we get them, see the photo of the slain man after the cut...

Court Orders that Alleged Nyanya Bombers Be Tried on Camera


A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that the alleged mastermind of the April 14 Nyanya bomb blast, Aminu Ogwuche and five orders be tried and covered live on camera.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed, who gave the order, also allowed the prosecution to use assumed names for the defense witnesses. ChannelsTV reports that at the resumed trial of Aminu Oguwche and five others accused of carrying out the April 14 Nyanya bomb blast which claimed over 76 lives, the Prosecution applied to hold the trial on camera to protect the witnesses in the case and also allow the witnesses be masked to prevent a breach of their personal safety.

Buhari's Wife Is Only Deceiving Nigerian Women - Patience


First Lady Patience Jonathan, says Aishat Buhari, wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been going about deceiving Nigerian women.

According to TheCableng, the first lady said this on Tuesday when the campaign train of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women birthed in Ilorin, capital of Kwara state.
She said... “Don’t be deceived. Don’t look at any woman that comes here; don’t listen. They are just deceiving themselves because out of the abundant of the heart, the mouth speaketh,” 

“Their husbands have said that they would not carry women along and that there is no office for the first lady but now they want to deceive Nigerian women and she has come out to say ‘My husband said it was an error’. Don’t worry, I will carry on in the traditional way. “Any woman that comes out to you, tell her to go back. Don’t let any Nigerian woman deceive you.” 

Why I Refused to Debate With Jonathan – Buhari


The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu has said he is not ready to participate in the presidential debate with President Goodluck Jonathan. Because according to him, there is no basis for debate since the record of the PDP and Mr. Jonathan in government is of a public knowledge.

While addressing a media parley in Abuja, Gen Buhari pledged if he wins the March 28 poll, he will uphold strict adherence to the constitution, saying he is now “a converted democrat”.
“I want to assure you that Nigerian constitution will be adhered to,” he said.

STRANGE!! White House Receives Envelope Filled with Cyanide


An envelope sent to the White House earlier this week has tested positive for cyanide, the Secret Service announced on Tuesday.

 According to them, on Monday, an envelope that contains an 'unknown milky substance, poured in a container wrapped in a plastic bag, showed up at the White House Mail Screening Facility. Though initial biological test conducted yielded negative results, but after a chemical testing, it resulted "presumptively positive" for cyanide on Tuesday. Secret Service spokesman "Brian Leary" in a statement to CNN said the sample was transported to another facility to confirm the results and that the Secret Service will have no further comment because the investigation is still in progress.

I Remain The President of AGN - Ibinabo Fiberisima


Ibinabo Fiberisima-Egbuka says she is still the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) despite a Lagos High court ruling on March 16th nullifying her October 2014 re-election. 

Ibinabo said she will be appealing the judgement and until that is done, she remains the President of the Guild. 
"People have been calling me on the phone to say that Emeka Ike is the new president of the AGN. But this is not true. The court did not say that he is now president. It said there was a status quo that prevented us from holding elections. We are appealing that because we cannot wait four whole years for the court’s judgement on that issue. I remain president of the guild till my appeal is heard" she told Punch.

Bolivian Football Team Cancels Friendly Match With Nigeria Over Fear of Boko Haram


 The Bolivian football Association said "NO" to the international friendly match that was scheduled for 26th March with Nigeria. The match was supposed to hold at the newly built Akwa Ibom International stadium in Uyo state.

At a press conference in Santa Cruz, the president of the Bolivian Football Federation, Carlos Chavez said armed conflicts in Nigeria as well as political tension had forced them to cancel the match 
"The armed conflict in Nigeria and the tense political situation forced the cancellation of the game" Chavez said.
