PANIC: The INEC Offical Site Has Been Hacked!!

The official website of the Independent National electoral Commission “INEC” (www.inecnigeria.org) has been hacked.

The photo shown above is the notice display that will come up on the homepage of the site if tried to reach. However, INEC promises that the hacking will not affect the electoral process.
INEC says data captured via the Electoral PVC Card Reader are not going to the website but rather the INEC server and so, Nigerians have nothing to be scared of. Kayode Idowu, CPS to INEC chairman says.



The website was on the other hand hacked by a body who call itself the “Nigerian Cyber Army”, boosting of having access to other government agencies. Reports from INEC says that their engineers are working to get it fixed as soon as possible.
