EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Buhari's Masterplan On Governing Nigeria

An NGO which believes in empowering deprived and voiceless Nigerians and also does financially support youth growth and development; took time out to speak to the General (the president elect) in an exclusive interview.

Discussions was focused on youth empowerment, insurgency, security and more. Malama Hafsatu Shinkafi, founder of 'I am change' got a rare one on one with the General and this is what he had to say:

Well, I can only speak from my own perspective and when I say my perspective, I mean from my personal experiences, marriage and relationship with my husband. PDP says Buhari will Islamise Nigeria.

This is not possible because even during his time as the military Head of State, the Supreme Military Council was made up of Christians and Muslims. Now we are in a democratic system and have both federal and state legislative bodies. And you know, for you to Islamise Nigeria, they must get two thirds of the National Assembly and state houses of assembly to agree to it so how can he Islamise Nigeria? I Will Return to My Otuoke House if I Lose – President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has just said that he will return to his Otuoke home in Bayelsa State, if by default, he loses the March 28 presidential election. Jonathan, who said Nigeria is not his father’s estate, was however is expectant of the very best in that he possible “will not lose the election.”

“But by default if i happen not to win the election; of course, I will go back to my village. The country is not my father’s estate,” he told the Quatar-based international television station, AlJazeera, on Monday night.

Nigerian international singer Nneka shared her thoughts on President Goodluck Jonathan and his postponement of the general elections in Nigerian an interview with CNN .

In the course of the interview, The singer had to shed light on the political situation in the country, the elections and the president. According to her Goodluck Jonathan should have dealt with the issue of Boko Haram before the elections that was scheduled to hold originally on February 28.

On postponed elections:
The president sought the understanding of the international community over the postponed elections. He said the kind of scenarios where elections are postponed for the sake of perpetuating power is not the case in Nigeria.

Boko Haram: 
The president was asked why he thinks the war against Boko Haram can be won in six weeks even though the war had raged for six years. The president said he has just acquired new weapons, and 
gotten support of neigbhouring countries to fight Boko Haram. He mentioned that Chad waited for African Union approval, which they recently got too.
