BREAKING NEWS !!! Taraba State Elections Declared Inconclusive


Prof Muhamdu Kyari, the Taraba state returning officer for governorship election  has declare the governorship election in Taraba as inconclusive. This declaration was made after collation of result from sixteen out of the seventeen local government areas was made in Jalingo, Taraba state capital.

To him, he made the declaration has reason so obviously and not far fetched from the collation of result. Muhamdu made it know that the number of cancelled votes was above the gap between APC who came second in the election to PDP who came first.



Election in Donga local government area of the state was canceled by the returning officer and some other few polling units across the state. The total number scored by PDP in Donga was 37,069 while APC came second with 10,087. Elections were also canceled in Six poling units of Takum, five in Karim, in Yoro and Ussah local governments areas.

Meanwhile report reaching Vanguard indicate pockets of violence in some part of the state.
Vanguard gathered that the House Secretary to Taraba state government in Gyembu Sadauna Local Government was bunt down. The country home Abel Diah the member representing Mbamga state constituency was also razed down by some angry youths who attempted to snatch the election materials from the collation center of the area.

Also two people were killed in Rankaviri the headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government area.
There is report of burning of houses in Mutum-Biu and Tela all in Gasol local government area.
A group of armed youths, Monday, allegedly attacked the Returning Officer for Sadauna Local Government area of Taraba and the Electoral Officer of the area, Shaibu Ibrahim on their way from Gyembu the headquarters of the local government area to Jalingo the Taraba state capital to submit the local government results.

The E O and the Returning Officer were reported to have been abducted by the youths on their way to Jalingo. Efforts by the scanty security personals who were on the convoy conveying the elections results was to no avail as the youth were said to be well armed.

The returning officer who resisted to the armed youths was reported to have been shot on his left leg according a security man t who did not want his name in print.
