Three Improvised Explosive Devices exploded and was made to cause a stampede as people took to their heels hereby distrupting the rallyof the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okrika, Rivers State today.

 The party supporters, in their numbers, had gathered and were waiting for the leaders of the party in the state to arrive the venue of the rally. The casualty is still unclear as the security agencies in the State are yet to confirm the incident.  Watch the scary video after the cut...



But later in the day, it was confirmed that the whole explosions as fireworks thrown into the scene by suspected mischief makers. The party supporters that were dispersed by the three separate explosions had immediately reconvened only to now be sent out of the campaign venue by real sporadic gunshots.

 The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, escaped death as the unknown gunmen disrupted the party’s campaign rally in Okrika Local Government Area of the state. Peterside was whisked away by security operatives in the midst of the deafening sound of sporadic gunshots few minutes after the three explosives went off close to the campaign ground at the Okrika National Secondary School Field. Security agents went down on the ground after drawing their guns in a bid to spot out where the unknown gunmen were hiding to hit them back.
