PHOTOS: Firebug Sets Baptist Church Ablaze, Pastor's Daughter Killed In The Act


Barely one week after an attack on a branch of Living Faith Church popularly called Winners Chapel in Giwa, Headquarters of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State by two unidentified arsonists, the Baptist Church at Gidan Maso village in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State has been set ablaze and the residence of the Pastor, Rev Habila Garba, burnt by irate youths.

During the incident which happened on April 1 at about 7:30 pm, one of the Pastor's daughters died of suffocation and most parts of the house destroyed as a result of the fire.

Photos From Severe Accident In Abuja This Morning



A fatal accident happened earlier today along Gwagwalada-Kwali Abuja. It happened that two cars had a forceful collision and the impact immediately burst into flames. The two cars were burnt beyond recognition and some casualties recorded. Some others were badly injured. Road safety has promptly arrived to deal with the situation. See more photos after the cut...

Kano State INEC resident officer, Wife And Entire Family Burnt to Death Last Night


The Kano Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Abdullahi Minkaila, his wife and two children were burnt to death in a mysterious fire outbreak at their home within kano metropolis last night being 2nd of April..

Confirming the incident, Kano Police Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Musa Majia told our correspondent on phone this morning that the victims, Abdullahi and his family, were immediately rushed to the hospital when the incident was discovered, but could not make it as they were confirmed dead this morning by the doctors.

Four-year-old Boy and Sister Burnt to Death in Lagos Fire


Disaster rocks Lekki as a four-year-old boy, identified as Paul, and his sister, 1 year old , have been burnt to death after fire gutted a bungalow in the Igbo-Efon, Lekki area of Lagos State.

The incident happened around 5am on Saturday. PUNCH Metro was fed that the fire began from a cooking stove which exploded in the bungalow where the victims lived with their parents. The inferno was said to have quickly spread and torched the room where the children were.

The mother of the children fled the area and called for help, but the children could not be saved as the strenght of the fire rapidly over powered them..

See Photos From The Fatal Accident in Ikorodu This Morning!!


Here is yet another serious accident that occurred around General Hospital Road, Ikorodu this morning. this accident happened around 6:50am today as it was said to be as a result of brake failure.

The tanker was reported to have lost control and ran into a popular cow market known as Odo-eran, after which it bursted into flames. One unidentified man was burnt to death while a few were seriously injured and have been taken to the hospital. See more photos from the scene after the cut...

Fire Takes Down the INEC Electoral Institute... Commission Says No Sensitive Material Was Destroyed


Fire takes down The "Independent National Electoral Commission" INEC’s Electoral Institute in Abuja on saturday being March 13th at arround 11pm at night.

However, reports from the INEC Director of Security, Mr. Shettima Ngilladar made it known that only non sensitive materials used in the 2011 election as well as bags, envelopes, election forms and electrical control panel/ switch were destroyed during the fire incident.

No material to be used for the 2015 election was destroyed. The fire outbreak was attributed to power surge and was recorded to have burned into sunday 2am in the morning.

AIT Lagos Office Taken down by Fire


Reports getting to us says... that a fire outbreak has just occured at the African Independent Television (AIT) office in Alagbado, Lagos State. Today being 9th of March.

As at the time of filing this report, the AIT road leading to the studio wasn't very busy, so the Fire fighters make their way to the razing scene. It has been confirmed from the Station’s twitter handle @AIT_Online that the fire has been successfully put out by the Fire Service officials. No human casualty was recorded as the damages caused by the fire is being, currently assessed. The Police has been called in to investigate claims of fire-raising.

PHOTOS: Fire Completely Takes Down Gabriel Igbinedion’s "Independent TV & Radio" in Benin


According to City People report, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion-owned Independent Television and Radio(ITV) Station in Benin the capital of Edo state was totally took down by fire last night. 

According to report, The cause of the fire is not known yet but his daughter Barrister Omosede Igbinedion has said, “It is clear that the attack on ITV is purely a deliberate act of destruction or sabotage, a calculated attempt at that.” See more photos after the cut...

PHOTOS: Another Fire Outbreak Strikes In Lagos Island


A fire outbreak has stroke in a plaza on Ereko Street in Idumota, Lagos Island. The fire started from the middle floor of the plaza and luckily, fire fighters this time quickly responded to the calls they got.

 Two other plazas have been affected by fire lately in Lagos Island, with traders loosing goods valued into millions of Naira. It was brought to attention that the Lagos State Governor, Babtunde Raji Fashola promised to help some of those traders start again when he visited them shortly after the fire incident.
