Police Recover N9m from Dead Armed Robbers who Raided Owo Banks


As record has it, the robbery that took place at Ondo state claimed lives and alot of money too but with the info we gathered, the police in the state who has recovered N9 million already from 6 of the armed robbers who died in the process of several gunshot battle.

Two police women and four others, including an ASP and seven civilians were killed by the robbers who stormed the banks at about 4pm last Friday. Also shot dead by the robbers were a bank manager and his deputy who reportedly refused to cooperate with them on arrival at the bank.

GRAPHIC PHOTOS: Updates From Yesterday's Bank Robbery in Owo, Ondo State


According to multiple sources, three (3) commercial banks in Owo town, Ondo state were attacked by armed robbers numbering about 10 yesterday evening. The banks reported to have being robbed include; First Bank, Wema Bank and Skye Bank. 

The armed roobers were dressed in military uniform fully armed and blocked all major roads gaining enterance into bank premises where the mad robbers killed several people including a bank manager.

Report has it that, one of the robbers was captured and set ablazed immediately. We have some GRAPHIC photo from the tragic incidence, just after the cut... "VIEWER'S DISCRETION IS ADVISED."

PHOTO: 15-Year Old Fish Seller Killed In Lagos Bank Robbery Buried


Remember the 15-year old fish seller "Sarah Ibikunle" who died in the March 12 Lagos Bank robbery in Lekki has been buried. Sarah was buried on Monday, 23rd, 2015 at Ikoyi cemetery. 

It was also learnt that the mortuary in Yaba, where the girl’s corpse was deposited, had earlier asked for a sum of N100,000 for the embalm and other burial arrangements, but all that was heard again from this was that they have released the corpse to her relations and without collecting a penny. VIDEO: Gov. Fashola Blames Success of Yesterday's Lekki Robbery On Pres. Jonathan's Visit


In regards to the robbery of yesterday, Lagos state Governor Babatunde Fashola says President Jonathan's visit to the state that very yesterday was the reason why the robbery attack in Lekki Phase1 was successful.

According to him, all the vehicles the state government bought to patrol the state was stationed to protect the President on arrival. He said this during the Buhari meet the Entertainers Programme in Lagos yesterday 12th March.
"Today is a very sad day because this afternoon we lost three policemen to the robbery in Lekki and it was the first of its kind in a long time. And I also know as they say {that perhaps what will be would have been} but it was sad to see all our security vehicles deployed to protect one man.  
All the vehicles we bought for the police were stationed to receive the President in Lagos while the citizens were left vulnerable. Those policemen have children. Their mothers will be made to explain to them why daddy is not coming home. May their souls rest in peace" he said.

More Photos from the Armed Robbery Attack at Lekki Phase1 Yesterday


Four people were killed yesterday after a gang of armed robbers invaded the branch of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) at Plot B, Waterfront Plaza, Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos state.

According to a witness, the four people were said to be three police escorts of a passing civilian Coaster bus and a fish seller. The robbers, numbering at least 12, had arrived a few minutes before 5pm via a boat and immediately began firing gunshots into the air in an operation that lasted not less than 25 minutes.
