CONGRATS!! Super Falcons qualifies for the All African Games that will take place in Brazzaville, Congo

The Super Falcons has trashed Mali 8-0 in the final round, second leg qualifying match of the 2015 All Africa Games billed for Brazzaville, Congo in September. Nigeria's senior women team recorded a heavy 9-1 victory on aggregate against the Malians if both sides matches are put together.

The steady support from the likes of;  Desire Oparanozie, Asisat Oshoala and Francesca Ordega while Evelyn Nwabuoku and substitute Esther Sunday jagged one each to make the fixture a walk in the park for the African champions.

The Super Falcons started the encounter as Oparanozie cleverly converted Oshoala's cross from the right corner in the second minute to shoot the hosts into an early lead. Oshoala continued to bully the Malian defence as she came close in the fifth minute but her soft effort failed to go past the Malian goalkeeper.

In the 18th minute, Ordega made it 2-0 after she was left unmarked in the heart of the visitors' defence while Oshoala was again stopped by a Malian defender in the 22nd minute from firing into an empty net after a briliant dribble. The visitors had their first clear chance in the five minutes later, but the Malian striker played into the calm hands of Nigeria's goalkeeper Whyte Ibubeleye.

Eventually, Oshoala netted her first in the 38th minute thanks to Oparanozie's through pass. Heroic goalkeeping from the Malian shot-stopper could not stop Oparanozie from netting her brace and fourth of the evening before the break. In the second half, Edwin Okon's ladies never dallied on their quest for a goal feast as Oshoala scored her second in the 46th minute, benefiting from the visitors’ defensive blunder.

Five minutes later, the England-based star nearly stretched the lead after outsmarting her marker, but was interrupted. Ordega found a breakthrough soon after and grabbed her own brace to make it 6-0 for the hosts. In the 71st minute, captain Nwabuoku hit a screamer from nearly 25 yards to make it 7-0 before substitute Esther Sunday powered home for 8-0 from a rebound two minutes later.

Nigeria will will now have to storm Brazzaville in September after missing out on the last tournament that took place at Mozambique in 2011.
