Two Students Found died in Osun River..

Two students of Ifeolu Secondary school, Osogbo was found died with their corpses floating on river Osun. This information was first made known to people around by a woman who went to fetch water by the river side.this scene still brings worry and confusion to the people of Ijetu living in that locality.

The actual cause of the death of the students could not be ascertained at press time, a resident of the area told Vanguard the woman, on discovering the corpses, dropped her bucket and ran to the street, where she raised an alarm.


Based on her alarm, the case was reported to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and a rescue team from the agency was immediately sent to the scene. The parents and families of the students have been worried in regards the where-about of their children and all necessary report had been done prior to this time. It was so saddening as the parents broke down in tears on seeing the corpse of their children.

The pupils were identified as Samson Obasanjo, a student of Junior Secondary School 2, while the second boy, who was identified simply as Kabiru, was also in the same class as Obasanjo.
