ELECTION UPDATE!! President Jonathan Loses Inside The Presidential Villa

President Goodluck Jonathan has lost to the All Progressive Congress candidate (APC), General Mohammadu Buhari In the final result announced at the two polling units of the Presidential Villa in Abuja as announced on Saturday night, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate (Jonathan) lost in his official abode, as he polled a total of 595 votes to General Buhari’s 613 votes.

The election which was conducted peacefully saw the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates also defeating the Peoples Democratic Candidates... Vanguard reports.

Buhari Expresses Satisfaction With The Peaceful Conduct Of Elections

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections nationwide. While answering questions from Journalists at his home town in Daura, Katsina State, General Buhari said reports made available to him by his observers indicated that the election had been generally peaceful.

Buhari said the hiccups experienced in few states over the card readers were not enough to cast aspersions on the election. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for extending the exercise in some polling units till tomorrow. He also urged Nigerians to remain calm and accept the outcome of the election.

Female INEC Official and Okadaman Dies in Fatal Road Accident in Benue

An appointed female staff of INEC died in a fatal bike accident this morning March 28th along Obussa-Ebonyi road, in Oju local government area of Benue state.

 Vanguard has it that the Okada man also lost his life. The INEC staff was on her way to Oju town where she was posted for election duties..

PDP Agent Caught With Fake Result Sheet At Poll Unit

A PDP agent has been reportedly caught with fake result sheet at unit 006 Ward 3 Opobo/Nkoro, Rivers State. And as for the record; Governor Rotimi Amaechi had earlier stopped accreditation at his ward due to the absence of result sheets.

PANIC: The INEC Offical Site Has Been Hacked!!

The official website of the Independent National electoral Commission “INEC” (www.inecnigeria.org) has been hacked.

The photo shown above is the notice display that will come up on the homepage of the site if tried to reach. However, INEC promises that the hacking will not affect the electoral process.
INEC says data captured via the Electoral PVC Card Reader are not going to the website but rather the INEC server and so, Nigerians have nothing to be scared of. Kayode Idowu, CPS to INEC chairman says.

Boko Haram Sect Attacks Polling Units in Gombe, Yobe and Borno States

The boko haram sect vowed to deal with people seen at the polling units at the north, and now that the election has started; several killings by this same mad sect has been reported.

Two people have been killed at two polling units in Birin Bolawa and Birin Fulani in the Nafada district of Gombe state this morning by Boko Haram members. According residents of the villages who spoke with AFP, they said suspected members of Boko Haram stormed the polling units, attacked the electorates and killed two people.

President Jonathan Finally Accredited Via Incident List After Card Reader Failed

President Jonathan and his wife are back at the polling unit in Otuoke where they were turned down earlier this morning due to the failure of a card reader. It unfortunately happened to both the president and his wife. The president immediately after the card reader failure addressed newsmen who were waiting to speak with him, saying he would exercise patience and be back to be accredited. He also used the opportunity to tell Nigerians who would experience such to be patient with INEC officials and remember the devices are new.

He however got relieved of having to wait all day for a luck with the card reader, and has got accredited manually via the incident list at exactly 11:06am, few hours ago.

INEC Postpones Election in 7 Federal Constituencies in Jigawa State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of election in seven out of eleven federal constituencies in Jigawa state.

According to the resident electoral commissioner in the state, Alhaji Halliru Aliyu Tambawel, the postponement was as a result of lack of sufficient sensitive materials including ballot papers and results sheets from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) needed to be used for the elections.

Both presidential candidates have been spotted making their votes this morning, each sides with his wife. Jonathan casted his vote at Bayelsa while buhari at Kastina, implying that they both went to their home towns for the exercise.

Report has it that this morning voting accredition with the APC Presidential candidate Gen. Buhari and his wife Aisha in Daura, Katsina state was said to be smooth but seem not to follow suit with that of president jonathan.

President Jonathan and his wife Patience at their polling unit in Otuoke, Bayelsa state this morning faced some challenges trying to vote. Infact, President Jonathan is yet to be accredited following the failure of the card reader. A lot of violent activities that took place yesterday in Agege, as men believed to be PDP thugs working for one "Niyi Raimi" who is contesting for House of Representative in the State.

Election Results Will Be Announced 48 Hours After Election - Jega

INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega gave the report that results from today's general election will be announced 48 hours after the elections have been concluded.

So be expectant of results from today's poll on Monday 30th, March. He said this during a joint press briefing with the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Johnson Olawumi in Abuja today March 27th.

“For the 2015 elections, we should be able to declare results nationally within 48 hours. Our aim is to im‎prove our performance from that of the last that took place in 2011,” he said

According to multiple sources, three (3) commercial banks in Owo town, Ondo state were attacked by armed robbers numbering about 10 yesterday evening. The banks reported to have being robbed include; First Bank, Wema Bank and Skye Bank. 

The armed roobers were dressed in military uniform fully armed and blocked all major roads gaining enterance into bank premises where the mad robbers killed several people including a bank manager.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has allegedly frozen all accounts of the famous Enugu based reverend father Ejike Mbaka, 

Nairaland Reveals that the reverend while giving a sermon to his congregation narrated how he went to withdraw money to buy food items for the poor masses that moved down from north because of the election, but to his surprise his cheques were returned.

When he enquired why he could not make any withdrawals, he was told EFCC has directed his accounts to be frozen. He stated that the commission is also inviting him to EFCC office in Port Harcourt for questioning.

A fedral civil servant has been murdered some days into his retirement from active service, leaving his family in so much agony and pain. This poor man is disclosed to by one "Mr Emmanuel Emereonye".

Emmanuel, an administrative officer at the Federal Government Girls College, Umuahia, was on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, butchered by a labourer he hired to work for him in his hometown at Dioka Nzerem village, in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

It was gathered that Emmanuel had decided to build a befitting country house where he hoped to relocate to after his retirement.

President Jonathan Restates Commitment To Peaceful Elections

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Wednesday in Abuja re-assures his total commitment to ensuring a peaceful, free and fair voting condition all over the country hence, having a credible elections in Nigeria on Saturday and April 11.

Speaking at an audience with a delegation of the National Committee on Peaceful Elections led by former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, President Jonathan urged all political parties, their candidates and supporters to approach the elections with more patriotism and a greater willingness to place the larger interest of the country above personal or selfish ambitions.

Stay To Defend Your Votes Fashola Urges Lagosians

The Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has asked Lagosians to come out on Saturday in clean attires, vote and defend their votes by staying at the polling units until the results are announced. Fashola told them that it was what the law demands and that Lagosians should ignore authorities who have turned the law upside down by asking citizens to stay 300metres away from the polling units after voting.

RACISM!! Chinese Restaurant In Kenya That Discriminates Against Blacks Shut Down

A Chinese restaurant in the Kenyan capital Nairobi has been shut down and its owners summoned by authorities after it emerged it was discriminately excluding black patrons, reports said Wednesday.

The restaurant became the focus of city authorities after furious residents took to social media to denounce an apparently racist policy of not allowing African patrons to eat there after 5pm -- pushing #RacistRestaurant, #NoBlacksHere and #TheChineseInvasion to be top trending topics.

The owners of the restaurant said the measure had been put in place following a robbery operation by some blacks in 2013, and have apologised for causing any offence incurred in the process.

Obasanjo Warns Against Rumoured Plan To Hand Over To Military

Buhari Escapes Electoral Disqualification As Court Adjourns Eligibility Suit To April 22

According to Premium Times, the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has put an obstacle to the fast growing speculations that the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, might be barred from participating in Saturday’s presidential election exercise.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola, this morning adjourned the eligibility suit seeking to stop Gen. Buhari to a later date  (April 22 and 23) for the hearing of the case, meaning there is no more obstacle on the APC candidate’s path. The hearing will now come up about a month after the election.
