Trader Survives Boko Haram, Loses Life to Armed Robbers


A 24-year-old trader, Chinedu Eneje, who fled from the Northern part of the country in order to save his life from the onslaught of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents, has, unfortunately, been killed by armed robbers.

Chinedu died few days after returning to the warm embrace of members of his family by bandits who laid siege to the Adani/Nsukka Expressway in Enugu State.

CHIBOK GIRLS: One Year Gone... Still No Succour Of Our Girls


Today, April 14 makes it 365 days, exactly one year the Chibok community of Borno State, North East Nigeria suffered the pain of their beloved children.

More than 200 secondary school girls had gone to the Government Secondary School in the town to write their final examination high with hope that they are preparing themselves for the future, a future in which they will be useful members of the society. But rather than write the examination which would have catapulted them to greater heights, they were abducted by the Boko Horam militants.  365 days after mum remains the word on the fate of the girls.

EXPLOSION: Boko Haram Bombs A Bus Pack in Gombe


An explosion strikes one of the northeast Nigerian city of Gombe state yesterday everning near a bus station. this explosion claims five (5) lives and got 15 others injured

Witnesses told AFP on Thursday; 2nd of april, in an attack that bore the hallmarks of Boko Haram.
“We had an explosion outside the motor park (bus station) this evening around 8:30 pm (1930 GMT) which killed five people and injured 15 others,” said Muhammad Garkuwa, a drivers’ union official. 
“The explosion was from an explosive left by a woman in her handbag beside a bus waiting to convey passengers to Jos,” he said in an account supported by a nearby food seller.

''We will Crush BOKO HARAM within A Short While'' - Buhari


President –Elect, Muhammadu Buhari has reassured that his administration will crush the Boko Haram militants within a very short while possibly in just two months of his assuming office. General Buhari spoke yesterday evening during an interview with Chris­tiane Amanpour of CNN, monitored in Lagos.

He said there is insecu­rity in the north-east and in the Niger Delta regions just as he explains:
 “we know how they started and where they are now and we will rapidly give attention to security in the country. And I believe we will ef­fectively deal with them in two months when we get into office.”... he sounded confidently.

Boko Haram Sect Attacks Polling Units in Gombe, Yobe and Borno States


The boko haram sect vowed to deal with people seen at the polling units at the north, and now that the election has started; several killings by this same mad sect has been reported.

Two people have been killed at two polling units in Birin Bolawa and Birin Fulani in the Nafada district of Gombe state this morning by Boko Haram members. According residents of the villages who spoke with AFP, they said suspected members of Boko Haram stormed the polling units, attacked the electorates and killed two people.

Boko Haram Leaves Mass of Throat-slit Corpses near Nigerian Town of Damasak


Soldiers from Niger and Chad who liberated the Nigerian town of Damasak from Boko Haram militants have discovered the bodies of at least 70 people, many with their throats slit, scattered under a bridge.

According to Reuters, in what appeared to be an execution site for the Islamist group, the bodies were scattered beneath the concrete bridge on one of the main roads leading out of the town. At least one was beheaded. The bodies were partially dried up by the desert air, while grass has began to grow around the corpses, suggesting that the killings had taken place a while ago.

Boko Haram Stronghold "The Butcher" Escapes


A Boko Haram commander has escaped arrest in Kaduna State, Pulse reports. The suspect, identified as Muhammed Mai "The Butcher" managed to get away after a raid on his supposed hideout in the Ugwan Dosa area of the state.

He was said to have changed location to Kaduna after anti-terrorist operations chased him out of Borno State, he is a Boko Haram stronghold.

The Nigerian Military, during their counter attack against Insurgents in Bama, were not only faced with the challenges of littered land mines by the insurgents, they were rather faced with the issue of fighter snakes deployed to poison them too.

However, these snakes were killed and here is a picture of a massive one killed during the swob up operation.

Bolivian Football Team Cancels Friendly Match With Nigeria Over Fear of Boko Haram


 The Bolivian football Association said "NO" to the international friendly match that was scheduled for 26th March with Nigeria. The match was supposed to hold at the newly built Akwa Ibom International stadium in Uyo state.

At a press conference in Santa Cruz, the president of the Bolivian Football Federation, Carlos Chavez said armed conflicts in Nigeria as well as political tension had forced them to cancel the match 
"The armed conflict in Nigeria and the tense political situation forced the cancellation of the game" Chavez said.

Nigerian Troops Clear Boko Haram Members from Goniri, Yobe state


Nigerian troops fighting the Boko Haram terrorist group in the nation's north-east have taken over Goniri town in Yobe State, clearing terrorists from the location. The troops reclaimed the town after clearing the terrorists which had taken over some months back. The Defence Headquarters tweeted on Monday saying: 
“FLASH: Troops have this morning completed clearing terrorists out of #Goniri in YOBE state #COINUpdate #VictoryForNigeria #NeverAgain,” the DHQ tweeted.
 It is the latest breakthrough recorded by the military in its increased counter terrorism operations against the Boko Haram terrorists since the nation's general elections were postponed by six weeks.

Bomb Blast Rocks Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Maiduguri


Yerwa Government Secondary School at Bama in Maiduguri, Borno state being the venue for the  "Internally Displaced Persons camp" was today hit by a twin explosions. 

The incident took place at about 6:15pm shaking many houses and structures around Maduganari ward, Ramat Polytechnic institute and other nearby communities. Just last Saturday, multiple explosions rocked different locations including two major markets and motor parks in the metropolis living over 100 people dead with scores injured.

ISIS has Accepted Boko Haram's Pledge of Allegiance


In an audio message supposedly from an ISIS spokesman, the group announced that a pledge of allegiance from Nigerian-based Boko Haram has been accepted by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The 28-minute message, according to CNN, was posted online by ISIS supporters. And it says that:
  The caliphate or Islamic State has expanded to western Africa and so we congratulate our jihadi brothers there.“We announce to you the good news of the expansion of the caliphate to West Africa because the caliph… has accepted the allegiance of  our brothers of the Sunni group for preaching the jihad,” 
IS spokesman "Mohammed al-Adnani" said in the message, using the Arabic name of the Nigerian terror group. "Abu Mohammed al Adnani" encouraged people to join fighters in Africa if they cannot make it to Iraq or Syria.

Boko Haram Joins ISIS...


According to Channels tv, a audio message has just emerged involving the Nigerian militant group Boko Haram pledging allegiance to ISIS. 

Also is a message posted on Boko Haram"s twitter acount confirming that. the message is claimed to be sent by the group leader of the sect. though hasn't being verified by Channels tv. Wait a minute, i thought Boko Haram's twitter handle has been taken down... so which handle are we talking about here? well! that by the way.

 This same Boko Haram sect which has been a terror in the northern Nigeria since 2009 with the intention of imposing Islamic rule to this part of the country is now the latest in series of groups to swear allegiance to the ISIS.

Update: Maiduguri Bomb Blast Death Toll Rises To 51


Following our previous news on today's bomb blast in Maiduguri, Boko Haram insurgents coordinated three explosions in the morning of March 7, 2015, Saturday. 

Updates reaching us says the Maiduguri bomb blast actually claimed not less than 51 lives, with over 100 people sustaining various injuries. This very suicide explosion claims to be the worst attack on the capital of Borno state, Maiduguri, since the beginning of the year. One of the explosive devices was detonated by a suicide bomber riding in a Keke Napep.

As report had it, at least 10 people were feared dead after a suicide bomber on a tricycle popularly known as "Keke Maruwa or Keke Napep" attacked the Baga market in Borno state. Feed you with details as soon we get them.

Another unpleasant scene was released by the Bokoharam sect on twitter yesterday unfolding the beheading processof two young men accused of being spies for the Nigerian Police Authority.

The two men simply disclosed as Dawoud Muhammad & Muhammad Awlu, were led by Boko Haram militants to a forest where they were made to kneel and confess their 'offenses' to the camera.

Jungle Justice: Angry Mob Set Suspected Female Suicide Bomber Ablaze.. See Graphic Photos

The scene where suspected female suicide bomber has been set ablaze
A suspected female suicide bomber has been set ablaze by an irate mob while she was targeting the ever-busy Muda Lawal market in Bauchi State metropolis.

The mob were said to have carried out jungle justice on the lady after she refused to subject herself to a routine stop and search at the entrance of the market, ascetaining the intuition that she was a member of Boko Haram, whose insurgency including use of suicide female bombers has resulted in the death of about 20,000 people including in Bauchi.

PHOTOS: Chadian Military Captures "The Butcher" and his Fellow Boko Harram sect Members


Among a captured group is a man whom the Chadian military had taken prisoner for belonging to the insurgent group "Boko Haram". As record has it, he was seen in Gambaru February 26, 2015. The man was nicknamed "The Butcher"by the Chadian military... Reuters report.

Niger, Cameroon and Chad have launched a regional military campaign to help Nigeria defeat the Boko Haram insurgence, which aims to carve an Islamic government out of northeastern Nigeria. See more pics below after the cut...

The bomb explosion that rocked Bauchi Road, in Jos, Plateau State yesterday and claimed lives of innocent souls is suspected to have been executed by the Islamic terrorist sect, "Boko Haram".

GEJ Condemns Boko Haram's Callous Bombings

Presidential spokesman "Reuben Abati" just released this statement: Boko Haram reversion to suicide bombing of soft targets, an act of desperate sect facing extinction. He further says:

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan condemns the reversion by the terrorist group, Boko Haram to the emotionally hardened bombing of soft targets in parts of Nigeria in the wake of the ongoing quick recovery by gallant Nigerian troops and their multinational alliance of supportive nations coming together in light of areas formerly controlled by the sect. President Jonathan commiserates with all families who have lost loved ones in the bombings which continued today with attacks on Kano and Potiskum.
